Our Story

Where It Began

More than 15 years ago, Mark and Rebecca Sargent moved to Lake Oconee to put down roots. In 2014 they opened High Priority Pest Services as a small, locally owned business with a bold promise: bring a smarter, more careful, more personalized approach to pest management in Georgia.

Mark’s vision was simple but powerful — pest control tailored to the unique needs of every home and business, grounded in safety, health, and environmental stewardship. The goal was never just to build a successful company. It was to become part of the community’s fabric: supporting neighbors, building trust, and giving back.

Early Challenges, Lasting Solutions

From the start, we met some of Georgia’s toughest pest problems head-on — cockroach infestations in historic homes, termite threats to local businesses, and the unique demands of lakeside living. We didn’t just treat problems. We educated clients, shared prevention strategies, and built custom programs that fit their properties and priorities.

Word spread quickly. Our reputation for reliability and professionalism carried us from our roots in Greensboro and Eatonton to a broader service area across central Georgia, built on referrals and long-term relationships.

Experience

The Expertise Behind the Name

Mark’s career began at Whitmire in St. Louis, where he worked closely with chemical composition and product development. That work built a deep technical foundation and a reputation for excellence across the industry.

Today our experience runs more than 25 years across every side of pest control — selling, servicing, and managing pest control companies, and developing, manufacturing, and distributing products for the pest management industry.

That background shapes how we work: every client gets a customized program that fits their property and needs, with a PRIORITY on safety, health, and the environment.

What Clients Say

“Awesome. Easy to do business with. On time. Knowledgeable. Considerate.”

Feedback has been our compass and our pride. Reviews consistently highlight our professionalism, knowledge, and reliability — because the job isn’t just solving pest problems. It’s delivering peace of mind through great service and clear communication.

Why Homeowners and Businesses Choose Us

What Sets Us Apart

Concierge-Style Care

No cookie-cutter plans. Whether it’s an urgent late-night rodent call, an extra mosquito treatment before a family gathering, or a full commercial program, we respond with flexibility, speed, and genuine care — adapting to each property’s unique risks and rhythms.

Authorized Sentricon & Thermacell Pro Installer

Sentricon eliminates the termite colony instead of only treating the structure, then stays in the ground for monitoring — not every company is authorized to install it. Thermacell Pro is a fixed outdoor mosquito system, installed rather than sprayed. We handle both directly, so this work is never subcontracted.

The High Priority Promise

If pests return between scheduled visits, so do we — at no extra charge. That’s the entire guarantee. No claim form and no argument about whether it qualifies. Recurring service that only works until the next invoice isn’t worth paying for.

Fast, 24-Hour Response

We’re reachable Monday through Sunday, 8 AM to 6 PM, at (470) 474-2847, and service is available within 24 hours of purchase. A rodent problem or ground nest gets worse over a week of waiting — and swarmer season doesn’t pause for a scheduling backlog.

Trusted by Local Businesses

Restaurants, offices, schools, and other businesses rely on us for proactive treatments, routine education, and tailored service plans that keep operations running smoothly and support health and safety standards. See commercial service.

Licensed, Accredited & Always Learning

We’re licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture — the agency that regulates structural pest control in this state — under Pest Control Company License #100228. We are fully insured and BBB accredited with an A+ rating. We train continuously, stay ahead of changing regulations, and adopt proven, eco-conscious methods that protect families, pets, and properties.

Where We Work

Lake Oconee and Beyond

Our office is at 1023 Lake Oconee Parkway, Suite G, Eatonton, GA 31024, on the Lake Oconee corridor in Putnam County. That location shapes what we’re good at.

Lake properties, rural acreage, outbuildings, and second homes that sit empty for weeks all behave differently from an in-town house — from mosquito control near the water to termite protection in wooded lots — and we treat them that way.

The full list, with a page for each town, is on our Areas We Serve page.

Four Corridors Across Georgia

  • Lake Country — Eatonton, Greensboro, Madison, Milledgeville, Sparta, Union Point and White Plains
  • I-20 East to Augusta — Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, Appling, Harlem, Thomson and Hephzibah
  • Athens Area — Athens, Watkinsville, Winterville, Bishop and Lexington
  • East Metro Atlanta — Conyers, Covington, Monroe, Social Circle, Loganville, Snellville, Lawrenceville, Dacula, Decatur, Lithonia, McDonough and Locust Grove

Our Next Decade

Looking Ahead

As we step into our next decade, our promise remains unchanged: to deliver the highest quality residential and commercial pest control with a steadfast focus on people, safety, and service. We appreciate our customers and thank each one for their support — this community’s trust is the foundation of everything we do.

Quality isn’t expensive — it’s priceless.
