Termite Protection

Certified Sentricon Specialist providing 24/7 colony elimination protection with installation within 24 hours.

Sentricon is a termite baiting system. Instead of putting a chemical wall between the termites and your house, it uses the termites’ own behavior against the colony — they find the bait, carry it home, and the colony is eliminated from the inside out, queen included.

We install it, we monitor it, and we inspect the structure annually. For most homes in Putnam, Greene and Morgan counties it is the right answer, and for a lake house that sits empty part of the year it is the only answer that keeps working while nobody is watching.

How the system works

  1. Stations are placed in the soil around the structure, spaced along the foraging paths termites already use.
  2. Foraging termites find the bait and feed on it in preference to wood.
  3. They carry it back and share it, which is how it reaches workers, soldiers and eventually the queen.
  4. The colony collapses. There is no colony left to redirect somewhere else.
  5. Stations stay in the ground and keep monitoring, so a new colony moving into the area is caught early.

Why we use it

  • No drilling — No holes through slabs, patios, driveways or finished basement floors.
  • Eliminates rather than blocks — A barrier keeps a live colony next door. Baiting removes it.
  • Keeps monitoring — Protection does not quietly expire the way a liquid application does.
  • Small footprint — Stations sit flush in the soil and disappear into the landscaping.
  • Works on an unoccupied house — Nothing about it depends on somebody being home to notice a problem.

Georgia is a heavy termite state

Eastern subterranean termites are active across Georgia for most of the year. Warm soil, high rainfall and clay that holds moisture make the conditions close to ideal, and the Department of Agriculture treats termite work as its own licensed category for that reason.

Add the specifics around the lakes — decks, docks, crawl spaces, wooden retaining walls, mulch beds against siding, irrigation running daily — and you have a region where prevention is not optional, it is just maintenance.

What an annual inspection covers

  • Crawl space and foundation — Piers, sill plates, band joists and any wood in contact with soil.
  • Exterior perimeter — Mud tubes, damaged siding, moisture and mulch depth against the structure.
  • Interior — Baseboards, trim, window and door frames, and any hollow-sounding wood.
  • Moisture conditions — Drainage, grading and standing water, which are what make a property attractive in the first place.
  • Station check — Condition and activity in every station around the structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sentricon better than a liquid termite treatment?

For most Georgia homes, yes. It eliminates the colony rather than redirecting it, and it does not require drilling through slabs, patios or driveways.

How long does it take to work?

Termites usually find stations within weeks. Colony elimination typically takes a few months, and the stations keep monitoring afterwards.

Are the stations visible?

They sit flush with the soil around the structure and are easy to miss once landscaping fills in.

What if termites are already in the house?

Sentricon is used on active infestations as well as prevention. Call (470) 474-2847 and we will inspect before recommending anything.

Is this included in a plan?

Yes. The Priority Plan + Termite bundles installation, annual inspections and the full year-round pest plan for $397 initial and $59 a month.

Are you licensed for termite work in Georgia?

Yes. Termite work in Georgia is separately licensed and regulated by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
