Termite Treatment on Lake Oconee
A lake house is close to water, usually has a crawlspace, and is built out of a great deal of wood that sits near the ground. That’s the short version of why termite pressure out here is higher than it is in town.
The longer version involves clay soil that holds moisture, decks and docks in permanent ground contact, and — on a second home — nobody walking past a mud tube for months at a time.

Why a Bond Matters More on a House You Are Not Living In
If you live in a house, you notice things. A window that sticks. A soft spot in a baseboard. Wings on a sill in April.
If you’re here six weekends a year, you notice none of that. The first sign of a problem is the problem itself.
A termite bond changes the arrangement. Instead of you watching the house, we’re watching the house — on a monitoring schedule, with the treatment and the coverage already in place before anything starts.
What We Install: Sentricon
We’re a Certified Sentricon Specialist. Fewer than 7% of pest control providers nationwide are authorized to install it.
The difference from a traditional liquid barrier matters most on a lake property:
- No foundation drilling or trenching. Nothing gets cut through your patio, hardscape, or foundation. Stations go into the soil around the structure.
- It eliminates the colony. Workers carry bait back to the nest and the queen is eliminated. A liquid barrier doesn’t do that — it keeps termites out of one structure while the colony continues next door.
- It works year-round without you. Stations are active continuously, which is the entire point on a house that sits empty.
- It doesn’t degrade. Chemical barriers break down in soil over time. Bait stations get monitored and refreshed on a schedule.
Protection starts at $397 initial plus $59 per month. More on Sentricon.
What an Inspection Actually Covers
Not a walk around the outside with a flashlight.
- The full crawlspace, where the answer usually is
- Foundation walls and piers, checked for mud tubes
- Sill plates, band joists, and framing at grade
- Decks, dock structures, boathouse posts, and any wood in soil contact
- Moisture readings where conditions look conducive
- A mapped plan of where stations go and why

Questions People Ask
How fast can you install?
Within 24 hours of scheduling.
Will you have to drill my foundation or patio?
No. Sentricon stations go into the soil around the structure. No drilling, no trenching.
Does it cover the dock and boathouse?
Wood in ground contact around the property is part of what we assess. Tell us what structures you have and we’ll tell you what the plan covers before you sign anything.
I already have a bond with another company. Can I switch?
Yes. Bring us what you have and we’ll tell you plainly whether switching is worth it or whether you’re already well covered.
What if I’m not there for the inspection?
Exterior and crawlspace work doesn’t require you to be home. You’ll get a written report either way, and on our Lake House Plan you get photos.
How much does it cost?
$397 initial plus $59 per month, which also includes full pest plan coverage.
